On bad luck and second chances

107/366 Sometimes good things can come from bad luck. Due to the change from Summer to Winter opening times while we were there, we accidentally arrived at the Acropolis entry ten minutes after the gates had closed for the day. Assuming that mistake had cost us our chance to see Athens’ greatest icon, we headed to the airport a little downbeat. As luck would have it however, our flight was cancelled due to technical issues and we were ferried back to the city for an extended stay.
This time we made sure not to miss out and headed to the Acropolis at the first opportunity. And what can I say, it is quite the singular experience and well worth visiting. With the crowds it was quite difficult to make any photos bereft of people, but I did manage to sneak in a few, such as this one of the Parthenon in black and white.
