121/366 Greece was full of surprises for us, mostly very nice ones in fact and it humbled me to find out how little I actually knew about the country. One such time was when we started to wander through one of the historical sites – the Archaeological Site of Kerameikos and saw a turtle. Our immediate reaction was that someone had set their pet free. After coming across the second, third and dozenth, we realised that this clearly wasn’t the case. We left them to their own devices and just enjoyed watching them plod along on their grand adventures. I made a few photos of them, but I like this one the most – it almost appears as if the turtle is surveying its domain from on high.
