Links in the chain

122/366 Sometimes I find that it is firstly when I write about something that I fully comprehend why I feel the way I do about it. In this case, it is the closeness I feel to the people of antiquity, or at any time during the history of our species. This closeness does not seem to be triggered so much by seeing how people lived, but rather how they died. The celebration and sorrow depicted in funeral relics makes me realise that regardless when we live(d), we all have people that we loved and lost. Like links in a chain stretch back to the beginnings of it all.
