112/366 After the rain the leaves were positively glowing in their multitudinous shades of green. This was lost in committing the image to monochrome film, but in the tones of grey one can perhaps better observe the texture of the leaves and maybe even imagine how they would feel to the touch.

have you ever tried Agfa Scala B&W slide film? I used to love this one especially for subjects like moist leaves, gave them an almost metallic shimmer.

No, I’ve never even heard of this film before I must admit. It does seem very interesting, though!
Mostly I’ve stuck with the tried and true favourites from Ilford and Kodak, but have recently picked up a pair of 25 ISO films from Rollei in 120 format. I’m looking forward to giving those a go!

I’m actually not sure if you would find a lab to handle this film nowadays. I used to use it back in the Nineties (my very first web gallery, hand-coded –http://www.cwoehrl.de/grey/index.htm – is all about Scala). It always needed special development, as it was not the usual E-6 slide process.

Thanks for dropping the knowledge bomb on me. I find myself constantly amazed at just how many different films there used to be on the market. Just recently I found out there were lots of different versions of Kodak Ektar and Ektachrome when I received a bunch of expired film from a retired photographer. I am also really looking forward to experimenting with these films!
