286/366 Unsettled from my first experiences with Fantome, I decided to load a second roll into my camera at the first available opportunity to see if I had made a mistake with the first. This one I shot over several days under a range of lighting conditions and was a bit more careful with my metering.
Were the results any different this time? Sort of, not really. May I present the Prime Tower in Zurich in almost pure black and white?

Thanks Christian! I must admit that I haven’t been fully ready for the results I’ve been getting from this film, but there have definitely been some nice surprises along the way. I do like the way it can simplify scenes, leaving just the most important detail.
Hitting the harbour up with some sheets of film sounds like a great idea. 🙂

Yes, these films (I haven’t tried that very brand yet) bring lots of interesting surprises. Downside is I’m still finding it hard to find adequate subjects, in terms of light/shadow or structure, similar to you’ve described over the last few days. That’s why I seldom use high-contrast roll film and prefer it as sheets. (If you want to experiment there, I’d highly recommend Wephota FO-5 as a budget alternative to the “professional” process films.)
