284/366 I mentioned this a couple of posts ago, but the ‘characterful’ lens I was using definitely had a large effect on the blocking of the highlights. The Noctilux f1 has a very dreamy rendering with a lot of highlight glow wide open (which is how I like using it), so the massively blown highlights aren’t a trait of just the film alone. This effect can be seen in this image on the roof on the top right and some of the pipe ends on the right. When used right this property of the lens can lend a lot of character to an image, but at the same time it is very hard to control, especially with a film like Fantome.
